Jesus appears to His followers
As soon as the Sabbath was over, some of the women who had come to Jerusalem with Jesus went to the tomb to put ointments on the body. They wondered who would help them roll the large stone away from the entrance to the tomb. But to their surprise, when they looked, they saw that the stone was already gone.
When they entered the tomb, they met a young man in a long white robe, and they were terrified. He reassured them, saying:
"Don't be afraid. You're looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen, He is not here. Look, this is where they laid Him. Now go and tell His disciples, that He's going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there, just as He told you."
Filled with amazement and fear, they quickly left the tomb and said nothing to anyone because they were too frightened.
Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene. She immediately went and told the others who were mourning His death. But when Mary told them that Jesus was alive, they didn't believe her.
Later, Jesus appeared in a different form to two of his followers as they were walking in the countryside. They also went and told the others, but they didn't believe them either.
Finally, Jesus appeared to the eleven disciples while they were eating, and He rebuked them for their lack of faith because they did not believe those who saw Him after His resurrection. He instructed them, saying
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be damned. These signs will follow those who believe: they will cast out demons in my name; they will speak in new languages; they will handle snakes, and even if they drink deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."
After Jesus spoke to them, he went up to heaven. The disciples went out and preached everywhere. The Holy Ghost worked with them helping them to perform miracles.
